BELLOWS REPORT EXONERATES TRULOCK
Wen Ho Lee Not Targeted Because of Race In Espionage Investigation
Judicial Watch Client Notra Trulock To Pursue Defamation Suit
(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government abuse and corruption, welcomed the report of former federal prosecutor Randy Bellows today, concerning the conduct of the espionage investigation of convicted felon, Dr. Wen Ho Lee.
The Bellows Report criticizes the FBI and Energy Department for numerous flaws throughout the course of the investigation of Lee. The report goes on to say that racial bias was not a factor in the decision to investigate Dr. Wen Ho Lee.
“Judicial Watch is pleased that its client, Notra Trulock, has been exonerated. Now we will pursue justice against those, including Dr. Wen Ho Lee and his agents, who sought to illegally and improperly use the ‘race card’ to mask their own guilt,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.
“This report would not have been made public at this time, if not for Judicial Watch pressure,” added Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
A federal court overseeing Trulock’s defamation lawsuits against Wen Ho Lee and others ordered the government to release the report by today.
