(Pasadena California, April 16, 2001) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse, has sued Governor Gray Davis over his refusal to produce public documents about his role in the California energy crisis. Governor Davis - - who has taken huge political contributions from the energy industries - - says he is too busy to comply with California’s equivalent of the Freedom of Information Act.
A hearing will be held at the above time and place over Judicial Watch’s lawsuit.
A press conference will follow on the courthouse steps.
