Prosecution Rests in Ryan Corruption Trial

Today, prosecutors in Chicago rested their case against former Governor George Ryan after 18 weeks of witness testimony. Witnesses have told how Ryan got free vacations and other kickbacks in exchange for giving government licenses and contracts to his friends. The defense is now expected to go for several weeks.

To learn more about what has gone on throughout Ryan’s trial, please read the entries by John Vincent.

Vincent is a former FBI Special Agent who now directs Judicial Watch’s Chicago regional office, and has been tracking the trial and attending in person since its beginning for Judicial Watch.
