Obama Islam Envoy A Lying Terrorist Defender

The Obama Administration lied to cover up that its special Islam envoy has close ties to radical extremist groups and that he condemns the U.S. government’s prosecutions of renowned terrorists as “politically motivated persecutions.”

In his ongoing effort to repair relations with the Islamic world, Obama assigned a White House deputy counsel (Rashad Hussain) with known ties to individuals and groups that support jihad as the nation’s envoy to Islam. The Ivy-league educated attorney has a documented history of participating in and supporting events connected with the terrorism-sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood and advocating for the admitted head of a Palestinian jihad organization.

A few years ago Hussain publicly defended a Florida college professor (Sami al-Arian) who pleaded guilty to aiding terrorists as the U.S. leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, referring to his prosecution as a “politically motivated persecution” designed “to squash dissent.” Hussain also claimed that Al-Arian’s prosecution was a sad commentary on our legal system that involved significant abuses.

When certain media outlets revealed the abhorrent comments, Hussain denied ever making them and so did the White House. But a political news organization subsequently dug up a recording of Hussain’s inspirational 2004 speech at a Muslim Students Association conference and he has since admitted making what he now refers to as “ill-conceived or not well-formulated” comments.

To cover up the controversy, Hussain even ordered the website of a magazine that covers Middle East issues from the Arab and Muslim perspectives to remove the incriminating comments from its story of the Chicago event. He admits contacting the publication in an effort to avoid a “misimpression” but claims editors modified the article “of their own accord.”

Its bad enough that the country’s special Islam envoy serves on an Islamic despot support group called the Organization of Islamic Conference, which claims to promote Muslim unity. In reality, it seeks to impose Islam on the world and undermine the sovereignty of free nations like the U.S. One news report refers to it as the thuggish international organization that aims to intimidate Western governments into adopting hate speech codes that quash criticism of Islam and jihad violence.

Cozying up to such groups is part of Obama’s effort to befriend radical Muslims who hate the U.S. and want to murder Americans. The plan has featured secret national security meetings with a group of extremist Arab, Muslim and Sikh organizations, a special State Department order allowing the reentry of radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties have long banned them from the U.S. and the National Aeronautic and Space Administration’s (NASA) new focus on Muslim outreach and diplomacy.
