The Obamacare challenge that won’t die

Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) is continuing his investigation into Congress’ illegal enrollment in the DC Small Business Exchange. He is waiting for the Exchange Authority and House and Senate officials to provide him with the names of government officials who directed members of Congress and their staff to falsify their applications. Judicial Watch’s FOIA lawsuit against the Exchange Authority that resulted in the release of these falsified, heavily redacted applications spurred Vitter’s investigation. Read more about that lawsuit here.

This is the main reason why Vitter is spearheading this investigation, as quoted in the article:

“Someone within Congress knowingly falsified information in order for Congress to keep their Obamacare subsidy,” Vitter wrote in a letter sent earlier this month the House clerk, the Senate’s financial clerk and the D.C. Health Benefit Exchange Authority. “We need to know who, immediately, so we can fix this injustice and eliminate the unfair practice.”
