Immigration Officials Sell U.S. Visas To Terrorists
Employees at the Homeland Security agency that grants foreigners immigration documents to live legally in the United States are aiding terrorists and authorities say they donâ??t have the resources to investigate.
A confidential criminal report obtained by a Washington newspaper reveals that employees at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are helping Islamic extremists get fraudulent visas and other government identifications that allow them to live undetected in the United States.
As if the security breaches werenâ??t appalling enough, government officials say they cannot stop the problem because the USCISâ??s internal affairs department lacks the resources to investigate. This is difficult to imagine for a crucial federal agency with 15,000 employees and 250 headquarters worldwide.
In the meantime, the report reveals that several agency district adjudications officers are involved with known Islamic terrorists and employees are sharing detailed information on internal security measures with people outside the agency.
Additionally, a Lebanese citizen bribed an immigration officer with airline tickets for visa benefits and a USCIC officer in Texas sold immigration documents for $10,000 to nearly two dozen people.
The ongoing corruption within this important federal agency led it to establish an Office of Security and Integrity earlier this year to conduct internal investigations. The office is supposedly going to get 65 investigators and review specialists but one has yet to be hired.
