Farrakhan Praises Obama As World’s Hope
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has reveled in the support of the nation’s top black leaders and Hollywood celebrities but he would love to make disappear the recent praise of a well-known radical figure that compares the Illinois senator to his cult’s founder.
Addressing a crowd of about 20,000 followers in Chicago over the weekend, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a renown anti-Christian and anti-Semite, spent nearly two hours glorifying Obama and referring to him as the “hope of the entire world.”
The controversial minister compared Obama to his cult’s founder (Fard Muhammad) who also had a white mother and black father, saying: “A black man with a white mother became a savior to us. A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall.”
An established race baiter, Farrakhan also told the cheering crowd that Obama’s rise is phenomenal because he is a man of color in a country that has persecuted “us because of our color.” Farrakhan believes that God will destroy the entire white race and establish a paradise nation ruled by blacks.
The nation of Islam’s doctrine actually states that black people created white people in a genetic experiment 6,000 years ago and that "Judgment Day" means that the Gods will destroy the entire white race (devils) and establish a paradise nation ruled forever by blacks.
It’s no wonder that this is one prominent black leader’s endorsement that Obama has actually gone out of his way to reject. A campaign spokesman immediately responded by saying that Obama “has been clear in his objections to Minister Farrkhan’s past pronouncements and has not solicited the minister’s support.
Then again, when Obama’s longtime spiritual advisor at Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ honored Farrakhan with a coveted award last month, the Illinois senator didn’t express any type of objection. Obama’s friend and advisor at the church (Reverend Jeremiah Wright) said that Farrakhan “truly epitomized greatness” when crowing the Nation of Islam leader with the Jeremiah Wright Trumpeter Award in January.
