Judicial Watch Video: Tom Fitton Statement On The Confirmation of Jeff Sessions as United States Attorney General

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton issued the following statement in response to Jeff Sessions confirmation as attorney general:

Transcript:

“When it comes to public policy, the Justice Department has been a locus of evil. President Obama ruined the Justice Department. Senator Sessions, now the Attorney General has to build it from the ground up, practically speaking. On every public policy issue conservatives care about, the Justice Department has been on the other side and usually against the rule of law and helping corrupt politicians try get away with it. So Senator Sessions really has to reorient the Justice Department to actually advance the interest of the American people and the rule of law, as opposed to subverting it. And he has to depoliticize the Justice Department, so the American people can have faith in the fair administration of justice again.” [49 seconds]
