THE INDEPENDENT COUNSEL LAW IS DEAD

JUDICIAL WATCH LIVES ON!

"We Will Bring You to Justice, Mr. President."

(Washington, March 2) What do Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd and Republican Senator Mitch McConnell have in common? They both took money generated by Chinagate scandal figure John Huang. Recently, they both announced their opposition to the independent counsel law. Now, the Clinton Justice Department is "on board." What a surprise.

It is no wonder that politicians of all stripes want to kill the independent counsel law. They hate accountability. But now, who can be trusted to enforce the law: Janet Reno's Justice Department and Congress? We think not.

There is only one public interest group that files lawsuits to hold corrupt politicians to the law - Judicial Watch. Check out our cases at our Internet site at www.judicialwatch.org. Judicial Watch is currently prosecuting five Chinagate cases and the FBI files matter, among many other lawsuits involving political corruption.

Larry Klayman is a former Justice Department prosecutor and now serves as Chairman and General Counsel of Judicial Watch, a public interest watchdog group.
