Continued Testimony Comes In Wake of More Spy Revelations JUDICIAL WATCH BELIEVES ESPIONAGE ALSO OCCURRED ON COMMERCE DEPARTMENT TRADE MISSIONS TO CHINA AND IN REMOVING SATELLITE ENCRYPTIONS AND CIA REPORTS FROM GOVERNMENT PREMISES BY FRIENDS OF JOHN HUANG (April 30, 1999, Washington, D.C.)--On Monday, May 3, 1999, Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman and President Tom Fitton will resume the video testimony of John Huang, who has appeared before them on two other occasions in the group's lawsuit against the Clinton Commerce Department. This lawsuit was the catalyst for the Chinagate scandal, and is only one of 5 Judicial Watch cases seeking to get to the bottom of the Chinagate scandal. During the week of May 10, 1999, Judicial Watch will also take the testimony of Johnny Chung, who along with Huang and Charlie Trie orchestrated illegal fundraising from China. Judicial Watch believes that this fundraising is directly linked to the espionage which has likely been carried out by Chinese agents on American soil and on Clinton Commerce Department trade missions. Larry Klayman is a former Justice Department prosecutor, who founded Judicial Watch 5 years ago. Along with Mr. Fitton, volunteers, and staff, Judicial Watch has been pursuing the Chinagate scandal since September 1994, when it filed its first FOIA requests which ultimately exposed the corruption and likely espionage at the Clinton Commerce Department. Since then the scandal has spread to other government agencies, such as the Energy Department, Justice Department and FBI, which have covered up wrongdoing in this Administration. |
