BRADLEY SHOULD SAY "THANKS, BUT NO THANKS" TO HELP FROM BENNETT AND LENZNER
Bradley Should Refuse Fundraising Help from Clinton's Lawyer Robert Bennett and the Clintons' Private Investigator Terry Lenzner
(Washington, D.C.) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, called on presidential candidate Bill Bradley to pull out of a scheduled December 2 fundraiser to be hosted in Washington for him by Clinton lawyer Bob Bennett and Bill and Hillary Clinton's private investigator Terry Lenzner.
Mr. Bennett is being sued by Dolly Kyle Browning for alleged statements he made about her during the Paula Jones lawsuit. Mr. Lenzner, who was hired by Bennett's and David Kendall's law firms for the Clintons, was deposed by Judicial Watch in the Filegate lawsuit brought on behalf of those whose FBI files were improperly taken by the Clinton White House. Lenzner refused to answer, among other questions, whether anyone had ever asked him to use FBI files in his investigations. (A copy of Ms. Browning's complaint and Mr. Lenzner's deposition is available on the Judicial Watch Internet site at www.judicialwatch.org.) Mr. Lenzner also faces a lawsuit from Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman over allegedly improper investigations conducted by Lenzner against him.
"Mr. Bradley, like every politician, should be careful about who is in a position to influence him with contributions. We urge Bradley to take a stand against Clinton-Gore corruption by pulling out of the scheduled Bennett-Lenzner fundraiser," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
