They Both Took Money From John Huang As Independent Counsel Law Up For Renewal, Democrats and Republicans Conspire to Protect Political Establishment At The Expense of the American People and Honest Government In today's edition of The Washington Post, a prominent article appears, "Parties Agree on Fate of the Independent Counsel Statute." Adorning the article is a picture of Senator Chris Dodd, the former head of the Democratic National Committee who helped orchestrate the illegal Chinese fundraising uncovered by Judicial Watch, standing side by side with Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican hatchet man of campaign finance reform. What do the two have in common? Aside from representing the "establishment" Senate leadership, which is fresh from conducting a sham impeachment trial, both Senators have received monies generated by John Huang, the reported Chinese agent who received classified briefings at the Clinton Commerce Department, likely breaching national security. "The two political parties want to end the independent counsel law because it has investigated "bi-partisan" government corruption. Most politicians are like vampires; they don't like to be held accountable to the sunshine of unbiased independent investigations," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. "Now that Democrats and Republicans are moving to end the independent counsel law, groups like Judicial Watch -- the people�s watchdog -- will become even more important. This is sad, for we need government prosecutors to look into government corruption. Unfortunately, the establishment always wants to protect itself.
