Danforth As Part-Time Waco Prosecutor

Follows the Failed "Ken Starr Model"

Commentary. . .

(Washington, September 10) Former Republican Senator from Missouri John Danforth, widely acclaimed by the Washington Establishment and Janet Reno's hand-picked special counsel in the WACO matter, has stated that he will continue to work on client matters at his prestigious mega-law firm, Bryan, Cave, while overseeing the WACO investigation. Coupled with the fact that Mr. Danforth will be supervised by Janet Reno's deputy, Eric Holder (the person who has singlehandedly killed most Chinagate investigations at the Clinton Justice Department), this is a formula for disaster.

"It would appear that the WACO investigation is getting off to a bad start. Ken Starr already proved that a part-time prosecutor, who can't keep his mind on the store,' will be ineffective, and with the addition of Eric Holder to supervise and block Mr. Danforth's initiatives, Danforth will be rendered impotent," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Judicial Watch is pursuing its case on Waco, Ruby Ridge and Olympic bombing, which was filed in district court about three weeks ago. "The Justice Department and Congress can't be trusted to get the job done," Fitton added.

CLINTONS CLAIM THEY DIDN'T TALK ON PUERTO RICAN CLEMENCY OFFER

(Washington, DC) -- Bill and Hillary Clinton now claim that they didn't talk beforehand about the clemency offer to Puerto Rican terrorists.

"Given their recent vacation, and the amount of time they spent together having Terry McAuliffe purchase a mansion in New York State for them, does anyone really believe the First Couple didn't talk about a matter so politically charged as the clemency offer to Puerto Rican terrorists? One would think that, at some point, the Clintons would finally realize that their continual lies to the American people are wearing thin. Unfortunately, this conduct translates into other illegal conduct, and it is not amusing to see them continue to mislead the American people," stated Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman.
