An article on the front page of today's Washington Post cites concerns by Clinton's top aides that his behavior of late, including a personal attack on Judicial Watch's Larry Klayman, could begin to unravel the administration scandals. Ironically, on the eve of Judicial Watch's 5th Anniversary celebration, the President lashed out at Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman for his continued opposition to the Clinton Administration's abuse of power and illegal deeds. Until now Clinton's aides have practiced a policy of not publicly acknowledging the existence of Judicial Watch or its Chairman. "...White House aides squirmed, believing it best for the President not to even acknowledge he knew Klayman's name..." Washington Post 18 October 1999 "Perhaps the President has finally realized that Judicial Watch will not just go away and will continue to fight, on behalf of the American people, until Clinton and his Administration are brought to justice," stated Klayman. He continued, "As we have always said, where the Independent Counsel and Senate have failed to do their jobs, Judicial Watch will persevere." Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said, "it seems we're seeing the first cracks in the brick wall of The White House. The immense pressure and scrutiny Clinton has brought upon himself is finally getting to him."
