DEUTSCHE BANK AND BANKERS TRUST MAY BE PROCEEDING WITH CLINTONS' HOME LOAN

DEUTSCHE BANK AND BANKERS TRUST FAILED TO NOTIFY THE COURT THAT MORTGAGE APPLICATION GRANTED FOR THE CLINTONS IS WITHDRAWN

(Washington, D.C.) Recent pleadings, filed late yesterday, October 19, 1999, in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, by Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust, state with regard to the mortgage loan application granted to the Clintons, "The Clintons may fail to meet the conditions precedent to closing or may choose to decline the loan. Additionally, Mr. McAuliffe may withdraw as grantor of the loan." Accordingly, it would appear that Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust may still be contemplating transacting a mortgage with the Clintons, contrary to public statements by The White House.

"For this reason, until Judicial Watch receives assurances, filed with the Court, that this loan will not result in a mortgage, the public interest law firm must continue with its lawsuit against them," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.
