Lott Also Killed Clinton Impeachment Trial (Washington, DC) Today, the New York Post reported in an article by Vincent Morris that:
And Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), who was leading a separate pardon probe, appears to have temporarily shelved his investigation. Several lawmakers added that the plan to merge the House and Senate pardon probes also is dead. Senator Lotts actions obviously follow President George W. Bushs remarks that the Pardongate scandal should not be looked into and that instead, Its time to move on. Senator Lott, who himself does fundraising through the University of Mississippi (Bill Clinton uses the University of Arkansas for his Presidential Library), should be ashamed. Judicial Watch is pursuing an investigation of Senator Lotts fundraising activities at the University of Mississippi, and will report the results sometime in the future, stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. |
