Judicial Watch Has Sued Davis Over Failure To Come Clean With Energy Documents Davis Took Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars From Energy Companies (Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government abuse and corruption, has sued California Governor Gray Davis over his refusal to produce documents showing his cozy relationship with the energy companies that are now gouging California consumers. A hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court is scheduled for May 23, 2001. Yesterday, Davis blamed the Bush Administration and everyone under the sun for his failure to take action, causing not just California but the nation to go into an energy spiral. Davis has taken over $450,000 in political campaign contributions from energy companies and he clearly has been doing the bidding. Governor Davis is not only a hypocrite, but he is also misrepresenting the cause of the energy crisis. Californians and others nationwide will learn more when the courts force him to obey the laws. Currently, Davis thinks he is above the law, stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. |
