Judicial Watch: Huma Abedin, Patrick Kennedy to Testify in Hillary Clinton Email Case

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today announced the scheduled depositions of Huma Abedin, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s deputy Chief of Staff, and Patrick Kennedy, undersecretary for management at the State Department, regarding their involvement with the clintonemail.com record system. The deposition of Abedin is scheduled for June 28, and Kennedy is to give his deposition on June 29.

U.S District Court Judge Emmett G. Sullivan granted “discovery” to Judicial Watch on May 4, 2016, into Clinton’s email system.

The depositions of top Clinton aide Abedin and State Department official Kennedy inquiring into the email system are scheduled:

June 28 – Huma Abedin (Mrs. Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff and a senior advisor to Mrs. Clinton throughout her four years as Secretary of State and also had an email account on clintonemail.com);

June 29 – Patrick F. Kennedy (Under Secretary for Management since 2007 and the Secretary of State’s principal advisor on management issues, including technology and information services);

The depositions come in connection with a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit that seeks records about the controversial employment status of Huma Abedin, deputy chief of staff to former Secretary Clinton (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:13-cv-01363 )).

The full case history of the Abedin employment lawsuit is accessible on the Judicial Watch website.
